Hello!
I'm Shannon, a research professional specializing in quantitative methods and survey design. I'm building a career in clean energy - starting out in household energy internationally and currently working as a contractor at Michigan's largest energy utility.
My professional interests are in the intersection of gender, livelihoods, and clean household energy - SDGs 3, 5, 7, and 13.
Through my work in international development, I managed: a ISO Round Robin Testing Program, research contracts related to gender and livelihood benefits, and data collection efforts that contribute to donor reporting. I also have quantitative, social science research experience, where I primarily studied the benefits of improved cooking on gender equality and the environment in Lusaka, Zambia.
I hold an MS specializing in Environmental Policy and Geospatial Data Sciences from the University of Michigan; and a BA in Geography, concentrating in Earth Science and GIS from UNC Greensboro.
Outside of work, I enjoy trail running, backpacking, and watching true crime documentaries. I'm currently based in Lansing, Michigan.
